Become A Support Group Facilitator

Ingersoll’s volunteer facilitators are at the heart of our support group and have helped us build our support group space for over forty years!

Being a facilitator at Ingersoll is a big volunteer commitment but it’s a deeply rewarding one. Facilitators often build on their leadership and facilitation skills while building strong connections to trans and gender diverse communities.

We ask our facilitators to provide a safe and respectful environment for trans and gender diverse folks and their allies who are seeking support, education, and community.

What do facilitators do?

  • Help us set up and take down our support group space.
  • Ensure groups are conducted in a way that is consistent with the mission, vision and values of the organization.
  • Support Ingersoll’s work to connect trans and gender diverse communities to resources.
  • Attend facilitator trainings and meetings.
