On the left hand side it says “Open Training Opportunity: Introduction to Legal Allyship for Transgender and Gender Diverse Communities” Presented by: Ingersoll Gender Center
Co-Sponsors: Lavender Rights Project and Legal Voice
With Additional Support from Adrien Leavitt and Dana Savage

Even with progressive anti-discrimination policies in place, transgender and gender diverse people continue to encounter regular barriers when trying to amend their identity documents, accessing housing, and receiving adequate healthcare. In the constant changing climate of election season, protections and policies are continually being updated and challenged, making it even harder for the transgender community to get accurate representation and assistance. Please join Ingersoll Gender Center, our co-hosts Lavender Rights Project, Legal Voice and guest attorneys Dana Savage and Adrien Leavitt as we provide an introduction to trans cultural humility concepts, an overview of common legal barriers encountered by our communities, and how attorneys can better represent and support gender diverse clients and co-workers. There will be a Q&A session to conclude the presentation.

This is a free training opportunity for those in the legal profession that are interested in who are interested in learning how they can better serve their trans and gender diverse clients. Space is limited to 30 individuals so please do not register more than one representative from each practice or organization. Lunch will be provided for all attendants.

Participants will receive 2 Ethics CLEs.
